New Romney Town Council serves the residents of the Parish of New Romney. The Town Council's main role is to act in the interests of the parish and its residents by making decisions and recommendations that help to improve the local environment and the quality of life of local residents. The Council works in partnership with other organisations, as appropriate, including other tiers of Local Government as well as voluntary and community organisations.

Precept 2023-24

NEW ROMNEY TOWN COUNCIL has set its Precept for 2023-24 at £374,894.00 which, in real terms, equates to a DECREASE on the average Band D Council Tax Bill. This achievement means that there will be no increase in the Town Council element of the average Band D Council Tax Bill in 2023 and, in fact, it will be £3.61 lower than last year, despite the Council’s clear aim of sustaining its current high quality service provision.
