Parish Highway Improvement Plan - Public Engagement
Published: 11 March 2025
New Romney Town Council with help from Kent County Council and Folkestone and Hythe District Council have developed and adopted
Parish Highway Improvement Plan
The aim of the Parish Highway Improvement Plan is to look at all the Road Safety issues we have in New Romney, Littlestone & Greatstone and put together a coordinated plan of improvements to address the identified road safety shortfalls.
The next priority to be reviewed within the Parish Highway Improvement Plan is the junction of St Mary’s Road with Fairfield Road. Several concerns have been raised regarding vehicles parking right up to the junction causing poor visibility and congestion in this area.
One possible solution is to introduce double yellow lines in the vicinity of the junction to prevent problem parking.
