New Romney Town Council serves the residents of the Parish of New Romney. The Town Council's main role is to act in the interests of the parish and its residents by making decisions and recommendations that help to improve the local environment and the quality of life of local residents. The Council works in partnership with other organisations, as appropriate, including other tiers of Local Government as well as voluntary and community organisations.

Annual Town Meeting 2025

At the Annual Town Meeting on Wednesday 30th April members of the community gathered to celebrate achievements in the Town, to raise any concerns, and to hear annual councillor reports. Short presentations were given by 3 interesting guest speakers, which were well received, cheque presentations were made and the Pride Of New Romney Awards were handed out. Newsflash - Town Mayor 2025-26
