Dog theft

Published: 02 July 2020

The coronavirus lockdown has seen an increase in the number of dogs being purchased, unfortunately this has also seen the demand rise to unprecedented levels along with thefts of dogs.

Locations in rural areas are at risk and dog owners are encouraged to reassess their security measures, CCTV, ensure they do not leave their dogs out unattended, and ensure they are microchipped and registered correctly should the worst happen.

They may also want to look at registering their dogs with ”Doglost” and remain vigilant by reporting suspicious vehicles, people and activity where concerned.
