Folkestone and Hythe Over Fifties Forum
Published: 14 October 2020
Across Kent, people aged 50 plus are getting together to raise their voice on matters of concern, as well as encouraging social and community cohesion. Older Peoples' Forums are made up of passionate people who want their voice to be heard and to improve local and national services.
Folkestone and Hythe Over Fifties Forum is part of Kent Coast Volunteering and shares its aim to strengthen communities in Folkestone, Hythe and the surrounding areas and to improve quality of life for older people in our society.
It is free to join, and further details and membership form can be obtained via their leaflet. They also have a free newsletter.
Their first forum meeting will take place on Wednesday 21st October 2020, at 11am online via Microsoft Teams. Further information about this can be seen on their poster. The theme is 'COVID-19- Opportunities and Challenges for the 50+', with guest speakers from AcademyFM, and Kent Police. Not used Microsoft Teams before?
