Be alert to doorstep criminals in various areas!

We have been advised by KCC Public Protection that they have had reports from the local Community Warden of residents in Sevenoaks, Hartley and Tunbridge Wells being cold-called by people claiming to be part of an ex-offenders scheme and trying to sell household items. When residents decline they become verbally aggressive.

What to do:

-If you feel threatened or they refuse to leave call Kent Police on 999

-To report an incident call the Police on 101

-The probation services DO NOT ask ex-offenders to cold call residents or sell items door to door.

Please warn vulnerable family members, friends and neighbours.
