Weekly Local Covid-19 Update

Published: 29 January 2021

KEEP FOLLOWING THE LOCKDOWN RULES TO KEEP PROTECTING YOURSELVES, YOUR FAMILIES, YOUR COMMUNITY, AND THE NHS!

Although cases seem to be on the decrease in some of the surrounding areas, numbers in New Romney actually increased on the previous week, and are still above the national average. It is good to hear that the vaccination centres locally are working well, but we still need to work hard to prevent further spreading of the virus. We must all keep following the Lockdown regulations, https://www.gov.uk/.../national-lockdown-stay-at-homehowever, however hard we are finding it, and remembering HANDS - FACE - SPACE if we do have to go out. Get tested if you have symptoms, and isolate.

Even if you are symptom free, do your bit, and get tested, if you leave the house for work or essential activities, https://www.kent.gov.uk/.../test.../symptom-free-testing... so that you don't unknowingly spread it in the community.

Vaccinations are being rolled out to designated groups - please follow the link if you receive a text message to book.
