Temporary Road Closure

We have been notified by KCC that i
t will be necessary to close part of Bleak Road, Lydd, currently planned from Monday 15 February 2021 for an estimated period of up to 2 weeks.Bleak Road will be closed near the junction with Park Street to the actual extent indicated on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Park Street and Queen’s Road.
The closure is to enable SGN Gas to carry out works to provide a new gas supply for a new development.
~ Whilst the road is closed, Affinity Water will also carry out works to provide a new water supply, to avoid the need for a repeat closure ~
Due to the nature of these works, it will not be possible to re-open the road outside the working hours.
There is a slight chance that the works may over-run for unforeseen reasons such as adverse weather conditions or engineering difficulties.
The timing and duration of these works may be affected by various factors including the current coronavirus situation and weather conditions.
