Weekly Local Covid-19 Update

Published: 15 February 2021

KEEP FOLLOWING THE LOCKDOWN RULES TO KEEP PROTECTING YOURSELVES, YOUR FAMILIES, YOUR COMMUNITY, AND THE NHS!
Very pleasing to see that New Romney has now moved into the green coloured level on the map, as the numbers of local cases are continuing to fall, thanks to each and every one of you who are continuing to follow the Lockdown rules.
Last week in New Romney, there were 6 confirmed cases which equates to 81.3 cases per 100,00 people (source:
https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/interactive-map), a big drop on the previous few weeks.
However, we must not get complacent if we are to prevent further spread of the virus, especially as the new strain of the virus is very virulent. We must all keep following the Lockdown regulations, https://www.gov.uk/.../national-lockdown-stay-at-homehowever, however hard we are finding it.
Remember HANDS - FACE - SPACE if you do have to go out.
Get tested if you have symptoms, and isolate.
Even if you are symptom free, do your bit, and get tested, if you leave the house for work or essential activities,

Vaccinations continue to be rolled out to designated groups - please follow the link if you receive a text message to book, and keep watching the news for details of further groups to be called.
