 Folkestone & Hythe District Council Election of councillors to New Romney Town Council for the New Romney Town ward

1. An Election is to be held of Two Town Councillors for the New Romney Town ward.

2. Forms of nomination for the Town Election may be obtained at Folkestone and Hythe District Council, Civic Centre, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, CT20 2QY from the Returning Officer who will, at the request of an elector for any electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature.

3. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Council Chamber Public Gallery, Public Gallery Entrance, Civic Centre, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, CT20 2QY on any weekday after the date of this notice (excluding bank holidays) between 10am and 4pm but no later than 4pm on Thursday, 08 April 2021.

4. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 06 May 2021.

5. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Folkestone and Hythe District Council, Civic Centre, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, CT20 2QY by 12 midnight on Monday 19 April 2021. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

6. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Folkestone and Hythe District Council, Civic Centre, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, CT20 2QY by 5pm on Tuesday, 20 April 2021.

7. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Folkestone and Hythe District Council, Civic Centre, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, CT20 2QY by 5pm on Tuesday, 27 April 2021.

8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Folkestone and Hythe District Council, Civic Centre, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, CT20 2QY by 5pm on Thursday, 06 May 2021.
