Update - Temporary Road Closure
Published: 16 April 2021
We have received notification from KCC that the ongoing closure of
Eastbridge Road, Dymchurch from 1 March 2021 has been extended, with revised estimated completion by
4 July 2021.
Apologies are given for any inconvenience caused by this, arising out of operational difficulties.
Other details remain the same, but are repeated for clarity.
Eastbridge Road is being closed in sections northwards from the level crossing, to the actual extent shown at any time.
The alternative route for through traffic is via St Mary’s Road,
un-named roads to and through Newchurch (shown on some maps as The Street) back
to Eastbridge Road, as signposted on site.
The closures are to enable Kent County Council to carry out bank stabilisation works.
Due to the nature of these works, it will not be possible to re-open the road outside the working hours.
There is a chance that the works may over-run for unforeseen reasons including the current coronavirus situation, adverse weather conditions or engineering difficulties.
