Temporary Road Closure

We have been informed of  a closure of part of Midley Level Crossing, Old Romney, is currently planned for Wednesday 16 June 2021 from 11.15 pm through until approximately 5.30 am.

Beggarsbush Lane, Old Romney will be closed in the general vicinity of Midley Level Crossing, to the actual extent shown on site.

The alternative route for through traffic is via Wheelsgate Lane, Swamp Road and Midley Wall back to Beggarsbush Lane.

The closure is to enable Network Rail to carry out level crossing maintenance and other associated works.

The planned dates and duration may change for various reasons including the current coronavirus situation and adverse weather conditions, with any changes signposted on site and notified locally.
