Postal Vote Packs - Delayed

We have been informed by Folkestone and Hythe District Council that, due to circumstances out of their control, the postal packs for the upcoming by-election for New Romney Town Council - Town Ward have been delayed and will be sent out today 1st class.

Their printers informed them that due to storm Eunice Royal Mail could not make all collections from bulk distributors on Friday, the intended day for their postal vote dispatch.

Please be aware that the (Deputy) Returning Officer is permitted to verify completed postal votes received up to 10pm on polling day. In addition to returns in the post that reach them by this date and time, completed packs can be handed in at the polling station (by the elector or someone they trust) between the hours of 7am and 10pm
