Town Mayor's Jubilee Tea Party

Published: 26 April 2022

Do you have a neighbour who has been doing your shopping for you? Is there a care worker or nurse who deserves a thank you? Do you know of a person who goes the extra mile in the community? Is there a young person always willing to lend a hand or a listening ear?

Then nominate them for the Town Mayor's Afternoon Jubilee Tea!

On Saturday 4th June New Romney’s Town Mayor will be hosting an Afternoon Tea in The Old School’s gardens, as part of the celebration for HM the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. To celebrate the 70 years of Her Majesty’s reign, he is selecting 70 guests from the community, to acknowledge, give recognition, and say ‘thank you’ to individuals who have given our community service and contribution, often quietly in the background.
If you know of someone, aged 11 and above, who lives within the Town Council boundary (including both Town and Coastal Wards), and who has made a significant contribution to this Parish in some way, who you would like to nominate to attend this memorable, one-off event, please complete the nomination form. Forms also available from New Romney Library.
Only ONE nomination per adult (18 years and over) resident is permitted but all adult members of a family may submit a nomination form.
Completed forms in a sealed envelope should be sent to: The Town Clerk, New Romney Town Council, Town Hall, High Street, New Romney TN28 8BT
