Jubilee Round-up - The Mayor's Jubilee Tea and dedication of the new commemorative bench

On Platinum Jubilee Saturday the Mayor hosted a Jubilee Tea Party, for specially invited guests, who had contributed to the community.

During the afternoon Canon Sheila McLachlan dedicated a new memorial bench in the Old School Gardens, gifted to the town by Mayor & Mayoress of New Romney. The commemorative bench is to thank all residents, volunteers and keyworkers of the Romney Marsh Community for their magnificent response to the Covid Pandemic. It is a place for reflection and memories, to take time out.
