Proclamation of Accession
As Mayor of a Cinque Port Town, The Right Worshipful the Mayor of New Romney is invited to attend the reading of the Proclamation of Accession, which is to be delivered by the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports or, in his absence, the Deputy Constable of Dover Castle in Dover on Sunday 11th September 2022.
The Town Mayor will then return to New Romney to deliver the Proclamation in the Cinque Port Town of New Romney. Following the local reading of the Proclamation, copies of the Proclamation will then be posted in Town Noticeboards and on the Town Council website.
The reading of the Proclamation by the Right Worshipful the Mayor of New Romney will take place at 3.00PM on Sunday 11th September at the Garden of Remembrance in Church Approach.
