National Moment of Reflection in New Romney

National Moment of Reflection

Members of the public are being asked to mark a National Moment of Reflection to pay our respects to Her Late Majesty, The Queen. This will be a one-minute silence at 8.00pm on Sunday 18 September which will be observed across the UK.
New Romney is participating in this by offering an opportunity for our community to gather together and join in a moment of silence in garden of The Old School, in Church Lane, New Romney, led by The Right Worshipful the Mayor of New Romney, Cllr Paul Thomas, commencing at 7.50pm. It will conclude with the singing of The National Anthem.
The Old School will be open from 7.00pm until 9.00pm for visitors to view an exhibition on HM Queen Elizabeth ll and to share this time together, with tea and coffee available.
