It is with sadness...

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing of Barbara Palmer, this week. Barbara was a New Romney Town Councillor for many years, and was Mayor from 2001 to 2004. She championed a variety of causes, and was involved both during her Council time, and after with numerous community groups and events. She will be sadly missed by many. Our condolences go to her family and friends.

The Cinque Ports flag is being flown at half mast, on the Town Hall, yesterday and today, and on the day of the funeral, as a mark of respect.
