'Talk It Out' group

Talk It Out’ is a group running for 10 weeks to help people manage their mental health and wellbeing. It will be facilitated by FCS Talking Therapies staff, free to attend with a maximum of 10 people in each group. The aim of the group is to give participants as non-judgemental and confidential space to find support, offering activities and exercises to help develop positive thinking, reflection and communication and tools to help manage mental health.

Better communication, interpersonal skills, boundaries

Understanding mental health and wellbeing - what is it/how does it effect us/others

Experiencing a confidential and non-judgemental safe space

Recognising self-awareness

Overview

The programme aims to help people manage their mental health and wellbeing better using group support, professional facilitation and learning about how to manage various aspects effecting them. Each week will have a focus, eg. ‘Communicating Effectively’, ‘Managing Anxiety and Stress’, ‘Understanding Low Mood and Depression’, whilst also offering a supportive environment for each person to check in and share some things they dealing with as part of life or generally.

The group will start on Wednesday 13 September in New Romney and is open to anyone located in the centre or the surrounding areas. (please ignore attached flyer that states the start date as 6 September, as it will be the week after). Attached are the full dates, you will also notice that we are running it also in Ashford, Folkestone and online.
