Urgent Road Closure

We have been informed that it will be necessary to close A259 Lydd Road, New Romney from 4th January 2024 for up to 2 days.

The road will be closed at the junction with A259 High Street.

The road will be closed from 19:00hrs on 04/01/2024 to 06:00hrs on the 05/01/2024 only.

The alternative route is via A259 High Street, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 High Street, A259 Hythe Road, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Scanlons Bridge (Military Road in reverse), A261 London Road, A261 Hythe Road, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Barrow Hill, A20 Main Road, A20 Hythe Road, A20 A2070 M20 J10a Roundabout, A2070 From M20 J10a Roundabout To A2070 Sevington Roundabout W, A2070 From J A2042 To M20 J10 Roundabout N, A2070 From M20 J10 Roundabout To J A2042 S, A2070 J A2042 Roundabout, A2070 From J A2070/B2080 Roundabout To J A2042, A259 J A2070/B2080 Roundabout, A259 Rhee Wall and A259 Lydd Road.

This is to enable manhole cover repairs to be carried out by Southern Water.
