Temporary Road Closure

⚠️Kent County Council - Temporary Road Closure - A20 Main Road, Sellindge - 5th August 2024 (Folkestone and Hythe District)⚠️

 

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of A20 Main Road, Sellindge, from 5th August 2024 with estimated completion by 23rd August 2024.

 

A20 Main Road, Sellindge, will be closed between the junctions of Coopers Lane and Moorstock Lane, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A20 Hythe Road, A2070 Link Road Between Junction 10a M20 To A2070, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Slip West Bound Off, A2070 Hamstreet Bypass, A2070 Ashford Road, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, A259 Rhee Wall, A259 Lydd Road, A259 High Street, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 High Street, A259 Hythe Road, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Scanlons Bridge, A261 London Road, A261 Hythe Road, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Barrow Hill and A20 Main Road.

 

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A20 Main Road, A20 Barrow Hill, A261 Hythe Road, A261 London Road, A259 Military Road, A259 Red Lion Square, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Hythe Road, A259 High Street, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 High Street, A259 Lydd Road, A259 Rhee Wall, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, A2070 Ashford Road, A2070 Hamstreet Bypass, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Slip East Bound On, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road, A2070 Link Road Between Junction 10a M20 To A2070 and A20 Hythe Road.

 

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing resurfacing works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
