Temporary Road Closures

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the District Council of Folkestone and Hythe in exercise of its power under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 intends to

close the following lengths of roads to vehicles:-

 Station Road – from Marsh Academy Lower Car Park

 High Street

 West Street

 Sussex Road

 Fairfield Road to its junction with George Lane

This temporary closure of the roads above will come into effect on Saturday 27th July 2024 at 10:15 hrs and will remain in force until 11:15 hrs.

 Fairfield Road from its junction with Ashford Road to its junction with Mabledon Close

This temporary closure of the roads above will come into effect on Saturday 27th July 2024 at 09:00 hrs and will remain in force until 17:00 hrs.

The temporary closure of the roads are necessary to allow the event ‘New Romney Country Fayre’ to take place without endangering road users.

Pedestrians will not be affected by the provisions of the temporary closure and access for vehicles will be allowed up to the point of closure.
