Temporary Road Closures

** Please note – The below restrictions for Ashford Road & Church Approach, New Romney will now be 24/7.** 

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kingsheath Construction Ltd, it will be necessary to close part of Ashford Road & Church Approach, New Romney, from 4th November 2024 with estimated completion by 17th November 2024.

The restrictions will be between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only.

Ashford Road will be closed between the junctions of North Street and A259 High Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via North Street, West Street, A259 High Street and vice versa.

Church Approach will be closed between the junctions of A259 High Street and Church Road. The one-way Order will be suspended to allow access, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A259 High Street, A259 Lydd Street, Church Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing highway improvement works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Kingsheath Construction Ltd.
