IMPORTANT UPDATE: Pensioner Just Missing Out Scheme

Published: 05 February 2025

We have been advised that a direct contact number for Citizens Advice has been set up to support residents that may struggle to apply online for the Pensioner Just Missing Out Scheme.

The contact number is 0300 304 8003 (available Monday to Friday 0900-1700).

There is still funding available to provide eligible residents with £200 towards energy, food, or both.

Are you or someone you know eligible to receive this support?

The Pensioner Just Missing Out scheme supports Kent pensioners in need of help with significantly rising living costs. The scheme is available for pension-aged residents on lower incomes who are not eligible for Pension Credit or the government’s Winter Fuel Payment.

Please note – for energy voucher support activation, an email address will need to be provided, and online access is required. Food vouchers will not require online activation and can be issued by email or post.

Kent County Council would also appreciate if you could share details of this scheme with other organisations you are connected with. They are keen to reach as many eligible pensioners as possible. You could also support by sharing the attached poster across your social media channels.

The scheme will close on 28 February 2025, or when all funds are spent.
