Repairs to the Gas Network, New Romney

We have received the following message from Scotia Gas Network (SGN) regarding the roadworks on Dymchurch Road, New Romney:

"Monday 24 March - Dymchurch Road, New Romney

We've completed urgent repairs to our gas network in Dymchurch Road. We're now working to restore the areas we've disturbed to their original condition.

For everyone's safety while our reinstatement takes place, with temporary traffic lights remaining in operation. These are being manually operated to help traffic flow and include a pedestrian phase due to our work being close to a school.

All being well, the resurfacing work will be complete by Wednesday afternoon (26 March) at which point we can remove the temporary lights, allowing the permanent traffic lights to be switched back on.

We thank the New Romney Community for their patience while we carry out this essential work.
