Community Roadshows coming this week!
Published: 20 October 2025
NRS will be out and about popping up at a location near you next week.
This initiative is a key part of our ongoing commitment to engage the local community around Dungeness with the decommissioning process, build understanding about the benefits it brings, and ensure the sites becomes a proud legacy for generations to come.
Decommissioning plays a vital role in supporting the local economy, offering significant benefits in skills retention and career development for local communities. At Dungeness A the process is not just about dismantling structures – it’s about developing expertise and creating opportunities for future generations.
A 2024 residents survey revealed that:
70% of survey respondents valued Dungeness A site as a good employer.
50% of Dungeness residents think they know at least ‘a fair amount’ about the site.
47% agreed that hospitality has the largest positive impact on the local economy.
Do you agree?
