New Romney Town Council serves the residents of the Parish of New Romney. The Town Council's main role is to act in the interests of the parish and its residents by making decisions and recommendations that help to improve the local environment and the quality of life of local residents. The Council works in partnership with other organisations, as appropriate, including other tiers of Local Government as well as voluntary and community organisations.

Temporary Road Closures

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of Tourney Road, Lydd, from 1st April 2026 with estimated completion by 3rd April 2026. Tourney Road, Lydd, will be closed between the junctions of High Street and Robin Hood Lane, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
