New Romney Town Council serves the residents of the Parish of New Romney. The Town Council's main role is to act in the interests of the parish and its residents by making decisions and recommendations that help to improve the local environment and the quality of life of local residents. The Council works in partnership with other organisations, as appropriate, including other tiers of Local Government as well as voluntary and community organisations.

Urgent Road Closure

It has been necessary to close Ashford Road, New Romney from 8th April 2026 for up to 1 day. The road is closed at approx. 50m from a property called The Bungalow. The alternative route is via Ashford Road, High Street (A259), Lydd Road (A259), Five Vents Lane and vice versa. It is planned that the road will be closed between 08:00 hrs and 16:00 hrs each day.
